October 7 - 16, 2022

Women’s Golf and Travel and Women’s Golf Day invites you to join us on this exceptional experience in Morocco……..

“Personally Marrakesh is one of my favorite cities. I have been there many times for golf and to explore the rich culture, architecture, arts, and fascinating heritage. It is a city of contrast of old alongside the very modern and luxurious. It will awaken your senses with its many vibrant colors, smells, and tastes. You will find the Moroccan people charming and very hospitable.” Elisa Gaudet

Join us as we travel to Morocco, one of the hottest new golf destinations in the world located in North Africa and cradled by the dunes of the Sahara. You will quickly become entrenched with the fragrant spices found in Morocco. From the bustling Medina of Marrakech to the capital of Morocco, Rabat, Moroccan culture is steeped in rich tradition. There are golf courses in all the main cities. Top international designers such as Gary Player, Kyle Phillips, and Jack Nicklaus have been brought in to sculpt these courses, ensuring that they are not only challenging and fun but also that they make the most of their unique Moroccan location. Morocco is located on Africa’s northwestern edge, where its landscape meets the Mediterranean Sea in an explosion of beautiful landscapes and cultural delights. Rich in history, its Arabic, African, and European influences make it a land of various cultures, colors, and textures.

Among the long list of treasures to love about Morocco is how its nature nurtures its golf culture. The tradition goes back a hundred years when its first golf course was created in Tangier in 1914. And it has never looked back. Now Morocco has over 38 golf courses dotting the country offering some of the finest driving ranges in the world.

A golfer’s travel bucket list should never forget including Morocco. Experience golfing with a stunning view of the Atlas Mountains, or in one of Morocco’s relaxing beach resorts. Swing and sway to the beat of this land of Mediterranean mystique. Let’s do it…..join us to experience Morocco in grand style…….

Fairmont Waterside, Vancouver

Located on the city’s dynamic harbourfront, Fairmont Waterfront is a world class luxury hotel in Vancouver, and proudly embraces a sustainable philosophy. We offer upscale comfort, personalized service, and unparalleled West Coast views, with easy access to everything that makes Vancouver spectacular. All this… and we like to have a little fun, too.

When it comes to convenient location, it’s hard to beat Fairmont Waterfront. We’re steps away from the Vancouver Convention Centre, the cruise ship terminal, and Waterfront Sky Train Station. A short jaunt will have you sampling the trendy pubs and eateries of historic Gastown, browsing the latest fashions on Robson Street, or biking amongst the giant trees of world-renowned Stanley Park.

Traced by Robert Trent Jones, the Royal Golf of Dar Es Salam is only fifteen minutes from the center of Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Its domain extends over some 440 hectares of trees, flowers, water and courses appreciated by true connoisseurs. Ideally located in the heart of a forest of cork oaks, the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam is a marvel of its kind: technicality, quality of the courses, beauty of a sublimated landscape….

Meknes Royal Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course rooted deep in history. The course is set in the heart of the imperial city of the Sultan Moulay Ismaïl, with the roofs and minarets of the medina as a background, in a garden overflowing with flowers, plum, orange, palm, olive and apricot trees.

Floodlights allow night play, and caddies are mandatory.

Set against the backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Assoufid Golf Club’s 18-hole, par-72 golf course winds its way through a unique, naturally undulating desert landscape. Located 10 km from Marrakech’s Medina – a UNESCO World Heritage site, Assoufid Golf Club provides golfers with an exceptional golfing experience that is excitingly diverse and challenging.

Tasting in the heart of the vineyards…..Sit at a table outdoors in a garden located in the middle of the vineyard—a truly exceptional setting— to enjoy, for lunch or dinner, a food and wine pairing designed around the local produce and four premium wines: a méthode champenoise sparkling wine (Blanc de Blancs), a red AOC, a white AOC, and sweet wine. You’ll also have the privilege of visiting the historic cellar. No doubt you’ll be left overwhelmed by such exquisite epicurean delights.

The Jemaa el-Fnaa is in Marrakech’s main square and the most important part of the medina. Here, inhabitants and tourists gather both during the day and night to have something to eat, shop, or observe the various shows taking place. During the day the square is full of surprising sights, from monkey trainers who have trained the apes to climb all over tourists to snake charmers, as well as dentists that expose the teeth they have recently extracted.

In Jemaa el-Fnaa, you will also find numerous stands selling orange juice, spices, mint leaves, and snails. At dusk, Marrakech’s main square transforms and the morning stalls disappear to give room to food stands where visitors can have dinner surrounded by Moroccan musicians playing traditional music and various other shows. Jemaa el-Fna is the city’s top attraction and can be visited at all hours of the day. We even recommend visiting in the morning and then returning at night to see how it has metamorphosed. Watching its various shows are also great fun! Marrakech’s main square is definitely never dull.

The souks are the heart of the Marrakech medina and have been the centre for trade in the city a thousand years. Today they’re as much a tourist attraction as anything but still have that exotic, chaotic fee.

You don’t have to journey to the Sahara for a Moroccan desert experience—the Agafay Desert is a desert oasis located just outside of Marrakech. On this full-day tour, soak up the scenery as you travel through the High Atlas Mountains, stop to explore the local villages and visit a Berber souk, then mount up for a thrilling camel ride through the rocky desert of Agafay. Spectacular views and photo opportunities in the Atlas Mountains Ride a camel through the Agafay desert.

Camel Ride at Agafaye Desert

Visible from the nearby holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoune, and from higher points throughout the valley, Volubilis is one of Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins located between the Imperial Cities of Fez and Meknes on a fertile plain surrounded by wheat fields
